Synergistics Systems Unveils Family of New and Enhanced Software Productivity-Enhancing Products at ATA Conference

Synergistic Systems, a leading provider of wireless data solutions for the transportation industry, introduced an impressive range of five new products during at the recent American Trucking Association's 34th Annual Conference and Technology Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. According to Synergistics' company president, Lee Wintrode, these new products further enhance Synergistic's industry-leading product lineup--all designed to increase operating efficiencies and improve the client's bottom line.

Synergy Dispatch® is a thorough update of Synergistics' popular dispatch program, making it the most powerful and complete LTL Pickup and Delivery dispatch solution available. With Synergy Dispatch, trucking companies can eliminate missed pickups and deliveries, decrease clerical data entry errors, and provide a higher level of customer service to their customers.

Key features of the new system include:

The Synergy On-Board Computer is is an engine/computer interface that provides more than 150 measurements of engine and driver performance. The J1708 interface:

Synergy GPS Vehicle Tracking is a new combination software/hardware package. The information can also be retrieved to replay any route as driven.

Synergistic Systems to Design Interactive Web Site for Carrier

Synergistic Systems announced this week that an agreement has been reached with Hercules Forwarding to develop a new interactive web site. In addition to transit time maps and other company information, new interactive features will be available from the site for Hercules customers.

Shipment information can be retrieved by bill of lading, purchase order or pro number. Customs status, delivery status and proofs of delivery can also be accessed. In addition, Hercules will allow new and existing customers to request freight pickups. Freight claims can be entered online, and help documents are available for claims filing and Canadian Customs forms. Information from Hercules' existing Synergy Billing system will be stored online for rapid access.

This product will be easily customizable in the future to meet new requirements. The site will be hosted at Hercules' Chicago data center but maintained online by Synergistic Systems. This will allow Hercules to have a web presence without the expense and complexity of authoring and maintaining their own site or using an ISP.

Synergistic Systems Announces New Route Accounting Software

Synergistic Systems announces the addition of RouteBoss, route accounting software designed to run on mobile data terminals in batch or wireless mode, to its software line.

RouteBoss easily handles both route sales and deliveries. At the beginning of the route, the driver downloads inventory and route information via modem or serial connection. If wireless data is enabled, RouteBoss allows information to be transmitted in real time using the Bellsouth Wireless network. At each stop, the driver can make deliveries, create new orders, receive payments and process exchanges and credit memos. The driver can also track merchandising and display items, take inventory, and communicate with dispatch.

"Our experience in wireless mobile data gives us a unique perspective in designing this 'new generation' route accounting solution," said Lee Wintrode, president of Synergistics.
