Synergistic Systems has reached a milestone in the number of installed Synergy Phones. The installed base recently passed the 1,000 mark, and scheduled installs promise to push this number over 2,000 before the last quarter of 2007. These phones are being used by various customers of RUAN Logistics, a Synergistics customer and partner and dedicated transportation provider with operating locations across the U.S.

The Synergy Phone is the latest mobile data offering from Synergistic Systems. It complements our existing installed customer base of thousands of rugged mobile data terminals with a lower cost device.

The Synergy Phone is a Java-enabled cell phone with a customizable pickup and delivery application created by Synergistic Systems. Various information is gathered by the driver at pickup and delivery time, with the option of capturing exceptions. Using the cell phone’s integrated GPS, auto-arrivals and auto-departures are recorded without driver input.

Current Synergy Phone installs use Nextel phones operating on the iDEN data network, but a CDMA-compatible version (Sprint) is being rolled out, as well as a Blackberry version that will run on the AT&T GPRS data network.
